BISELARTE HAS BEEN COMMITTED WITH SUSTAINABILITY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR SEVERAL YEARS.


We work to ensure the preservation of the planet and to offer our customers the greatest added value with the minimum environmental impact. Our ambition is to reduce our ecological footprint and with that objective in mind, we are committed to continuously improving the company's environmental performance.

Currently, and in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Biselarte fulfils the following objectives:
RENEWABLE AND ACCESSIBLE ENERGIES

Contribution to SDG7 with the installation of 12 photovoltaic panels in the car park which supply energy to the entire administrative area and several
photovoltaic panels above the manufacturing facilities which represent 30%
of energy consumption.

DIGNIFIED WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

Contribution to SDG8 with:
+ 95% local hiring;
+ The average age of employees is 35 years old;
+ All permanent employees benefit from health insurance;
+ 97% of the staff have a permanent contract;
+ Partnerships with institutions for the inclusion of people with special needs with the aim of integrating them into the job market (Stages Insertion – IEFP);
+ Partnerships with universities to include recent graduates in the business market,
and scholar training;
+ Biselarte guarantees compliance with the Management Systems for Quality,
Environment, Safety and Health at work — ISO 9001:2015 quality certification.

INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURES

Contribution to SDG9 with:
+ Investment in Innovation and Development - achievement of IDI certification in
Research, Development and Innovation Management in accordance with NP4457:2007.

SUSTAINABLE REDUCTION AND CONSUMPTION

Contribution to SDG12 with:
+ Waste and emissions management;
+ Rationalisation and treatment of wastewater from 2 WWTPs and reuse of water in
production circle;
+ Cardboard and glass recycling;
+ Rubbish separation;
+ Acquisition of recycled components, for example: packaging cardboard;
+ Use of plastic with less micron content, therefore less polluting;
+ Waste reduction.
